It's Spring!!!!!!!

My oh my… I believe spring may have sprung! It has been so nice here the last three days. I did some spring cleaning yesterday.

I can’t wait to start yard sailing, and spending time outside.

I’ve been told my pictures are too big and take to long to download. So I am trying to figure out how to compress my pictures, so until then I will hold off on the pictures.

I’m working on s painting project, I will post about when I’m done. I hope it turns out. So far so good.

Have a Happy Sunday!

Happy St. Patricks Day
Happy St. Patricks Day!

I hope you wore green today!
I made green cupcakes early this morning.

Sorry about the bad picture. Its from my phone. My counter tops are not really pink. The sun was shining through my red curtains.

I bought these for my desk....

I could not help it. They called for me.

Oh My

Please meet Bitsy. Our not so itsy Bitsy, (she has a bit of a weight issue). Quite possibly the most precious, spoiled dog ever. She gets treated better than some children.

You don’t want to get me started.

Two things I love
Two of the MANY things I love

To things you will usually never see me without….. My cell phone & my journal.

I am one of those sick people that are totally attached to their cell. We’ve totally bonded her & I. I take her everywhere I go.

My journal is almost always with me. I write down everything. I jot down my thoughts, my ideas, things that I see and love. Sometimes I look back in it, nothing makes sense but it did at the time. Oh it was journal worthy.

I am a bit addicted to journals. I tend to buy them more than I need. There are just so many cool ones out there. This green one is my latest addition.   Happy writing!

More about our Road Trip!

Here is some more about our day trip to Seattle. After leaving the Market, we went to the water front for lunch.

 We ate here……

You can order a Seafest. They cook tons of seafood, corn. potatoes, and sausage, all together in a large pot.  The waiter puts butcher paper on your table, they bring you a board and a wooden mallet. When your Seafest is ready your waiter just dumps it all out on your table.

No lie.

Its awesome. Crab, shrimp, oysters, clams, fish, and so much more.

Oh also they give you bibs to wear. OK normally you wouldn’t catch me in a bib, but when in Rome. It totally saved my shirt.   I was going to post a picture of me in my lovely bib, but it won't upload. Oh Well! :-)

If you get the chance you should try it. It makes lunch much more of an experience.

Road Trip
Our Big Adventure

This weekend we decided to go on a road trip. Both of our kids had plans so the Mr and I went on a big adventure. We headed over the snowy pass to Seattle. Maybe not the smartest move in early spring. But oh well... We forged ahead.

When our kids were little we used to call road trips Big Adventures.

This was our first stop on our Big Adventure!    ;-) Call me happy!  The Coach outlet!!!

Oh my; the beauty within. This was my first visit to any Coach store. They are some wonderful purses in there. Even at an outlet it was still really expensive. (I’m pretty cheap) But I did walk out with this little number.

Our next stop was...

Seattle.

I love to  walk around , but I really love to people watch.

You could show up in your pj’s and not brush your hair and you still wouldn’t be the weirdo.  You really see all kinds there.

We started here….

Look at just a few of the things for sale.

They have everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to flowers and handmades. But the thing is everything is just gorgeous. The vendors do a great job in displays.

This is the first Starbucks; I really wanted to go inside. So did the other 90,000 people there that day. We couldn’t even get in the door. I am not known for being patient, so we just enjoyed the view of the sign.

We had a really fun day. It seems like every time we attempt a Big Adventure it really turns into a real adventure. We had a heck of a time getting back, it was SNOWING so hard. More to come about our Big Adventure in Seattle later.

Happy Hump Day!

Cups in the mini-van
There once was a lovely young-ish wife and mother. We can call her princess, she doesn’t mind.  Princess drives a mid-level mini van, that she totally loves. It may not be right for everyone to drive a mini van. Some people have issues driving one, but the princess loves hers.

Princess enjoyed a good cup of coffee in the morning on her ride to the office each and every day. It was part of her routine. One Saturday morning the grumpy, grouchy Prince went to serve himself a cup of steaming hot caffeine. Well the Prince screamed asked where in the world are all of the coffee cups were. There are none in the cabinet … none in the sink. The princess innocently pretends she did not hear him and goes about reading her paper, using the lone coffee cup she was able to dig up find that morning.

The Prince and the Princess have 2 mouthy lovely teenagers. The male teenager pips up with “ Dad I know where they are”…. The conversation goes as follows….

Prince: Where are they son?

Male Teenager: There are in Mom’s van

Prince: All of them

Male Teenager: Yep

Prince: No Way.. All of them?

Male Teenager: All of them!

And to prove his point the brat lovely male teenager promptly went out and collected 19 coffee cups from the van that the princess drives.

The princess then heard something about being responsible, and if you’re going to take coffee for the drive you need to bring the cups back in the house when you get home in the evening. But she doesn’t recall much. After 20 years with the prince she has developed a wonderful skill of tuning him out.

Needless to say the grumpy, grouchy prince was not very pleased with his princess that morning. And the princess was not very pleased with the teenage boy who sold her out.

All the princess had to say was… Huh… No wonder the van makes clinking and clunking noises when I turn corners.

FYI….. That baby will hold a lot of crap treasures.
